I did at KPMG but it was part of a campus hire rotation. Liked the work and ended up staying in the group.
Yeah unfortunately KPMG stopped doing that rotation program this year

In 10 years I haven’t seen a direct FDD to true strategy move at a major firm. A handful of jumps to small consulting firms you might call strategy adjacent or at EY to EYP non-strategy groups (Rx or working cap advisory as examples). You’re also going to struggle to find a firm sponsored MBA where they are paying for you to do an MBA for purposes of transferring you into strategy. If you’re dead set on wanting to do strategy, take the FDD role and plan to apply to top MBAs next year using that experience (and suck it up and pay for it)
Quite common in Canada, but pay is much lower and the teams are much smaller.

KPMG will put you in Strat after your 2 associate years in FDD if you ask (or at least they promised). Sucks that they scrapped the campus hire rotation but I’m not surprised.
