McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

I think at a solid restaurant in a city waiters are easily making $30 or more per hour. At more expensive places they’re pulling $50 or more. My sister makes $150k as a bartender in nyc
My best friend was clearing $100k as a bartender back in the early 90’s. There I was as a working engineer excited about $55k.
I honestly don't think people could afford to live off of $15 an hour. I think everyone should be earning at least $22 to $25 an hour at a starting wage
Yeah, if we have universal healthcare and basic income, minimum wage can be relatively low.
Honestly I like of like the sales aspect of going out to eat. People work harder and are more enjoyable when they can directly influence their income
Europe is far too broad and varied to say, "Service in the US is better."
If I compare the customer service of all the times I've eaten in Asia, Europe, and the US, the US is by far the worst. Too many times I end up with a server who is having a bad day and just can't be arsed. I've had great and mediocre service on these continents, but will agree that I not really had "poor" service in East Asia. South Asia has been mixed.
The national minimum wage is $7.50 an hour in the United States, and that was set in July 2009. If a person works 52 weeks a year for 40 hrs a week, that's $15,600 annually. For restaurant tipped workers the hourly minimum wage is $2.13 an hour. That's: $2.13. An. Hour. Perhaps it's time we increased this? Would Musk/Zuck/Bezos/et all be okay with that? Or will they be afraid the can no longer afford to build mega yachts and spaceships if wages were to rise?
Depends entirely on the specifics.
I have friends from back in the day who were making a solid 6-figures in fine dining.
