I don't think there are very many people left who are bothered by visible tattoos, especially offensive ankle ones. The majority of people probably won't even notice, to be honest. Unless you have a large face tattoo or something, at least in the United States, tattoos are pretty much a non-issue anymore.
I think it depends on your territory. I cover my calf tattoos when I’m with more conservative clients, but for day-to-day stuff, I dress for the weather and don’t worry about it.
Some companies have policies for that, but if they are good, you are good. If your company’s cool with it and the tattoo’s not distracting or offensive (which ankle tats rarely are), I say show it! A teammate of mine has a little flower on her wrist, and no one bats an eye.

I have two HUGE ones, one of which I regret terribly. It’s a flower but the design placement 😩. I will eventually spend the 10k to have it removed. I keep it covered. But on occasion the others have been seen and it is what it is.
