I’m 20 years old and when I was 17 I was working in a pub, I got fired after working for 7 months because I was ‘unreliable’.
I was fired after a workplace injury where I burnt half my arm with burning hot oil due to a broken stock pot with no handle.

The chefs MADE me commit to sorting the fryers out and that led to the injury. Although this happened a few years ago, am I entitled to SUE or have I left it too long.

I would definitely talk to an injury or employment lawyer. I’m not sure what the legal ramifications are for you. It’s gonna depend on your state the store and what you signed. But I think you definitely at least want to consult with an attorney.

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.

I want convert every lead I can. Does anyone have tips, books, cle’s or studied this topic?
