Do you extract them? Using an at-home pore extraction device makes a big difference. I like the ones that are like a spatula and I also use the old school metal tools used by derms. Just don’t be too aggressive or it can cause scarring especially in dark skin. Other than that lots of exfoliation, I use a mix of salicylic and glycolic acid products (toner and serums applied daily plus my face wash). Make sure none of your skincare products are comedogenic (you can check the ingredients on CosDNA.com). Occasionally use an at-home peel. Wash your hair and change your sheets regularly so you aren’t adding more oils to the mix. Get a prescription retinoid like tretinoin in if you haven’t tried (Curology and other online pharmacies are a cheap way to do this). Add the acids back into your routine gradually and work up to more exfoliation when using a prescription. Good luck! I’ve been battling the same for years but my nose looks good now.
Are they blackheads or are they sebaceous filaments? Everyone has the latter. AA1 has good advice on topicals but I’d go to a pro for extractions. CosRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid is great for both blackheads and sebaceous filaments.
If you wear makeup, make sure you remove it with an oil-based cleanser before using a water-based cleanser.
Get a facial from a good esthetician and they will take care of it with extractions!
