Got hired abroad to work hybrid position. Any suggestions for set up at home work space?

If I had a traditional IRA before being employed in a 401k eligible role, can / must I roll that IRA into the 401k or can I leave the accounts separate without deleterious tax consequences?

When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior). Has anyone here participated in the year long remote year program? My company is fully remote in the US and is in general supportive of me going but concerned about local and international tax liability. Remote year doesn’t share tax advice and our HR team is small. Anyone living close to an office, got a holiday party with food and drinks, and the venue started open for them until around midnight. Our remote workers got a one hour party w a DJ and trivia that let you win gift cards. Yeah it was nice to win a gift card but I found it lame in comparison to hanging out with my team in real life.
