I’m a clinical psychology doctoral student. Before grad school, I worked in corporate for ~a decade, from law and marketing to tech startups and organizational change consulting, partnering directly with my colleagues in sales. I’m interested in toxic workplaces, and particularly abusive bosses. For my dissertation, I’m studying how the mistreatment women experience from supervisors at work mirrors the dynamics of intimate partner abuse. Can you relate? Consider participating in my survey.

You will likely get more responses from women whom were treated bad by other women. It’s a theme not likely to die anytime soon.
Thank you! While this study doesn’t specifically explore the gender of the supervisor, there is some other research in the field that does investigate abusive bosses who are women.

Cool! I will definitely participate.
Doesn’t apply to me thankfully, but commenting for engagement. This is a worthy study for your dissertation. Good luck!!
Thank you for your support!

How’s it going, OP?
We have received a tremendous response to the study, which is both encouraging and sobering. We are officially closing the survey for responses today Thursday, 5/15/25 at 11:59pm. I will be sure to report back on the findings and will upload them to the Health Inequality Studies website for all to access (https://healthinequalitystudies.org).
