Go to law school!!
Try evening or part time. Public interest schools or state schoolsbare cheaper and have more scholarships
My work didn’t get challenging until I became an attorney. But full honesty, I miss the monotony of the tasks of being a paralegal.
I bet. I've definitely considered law school, but the cost and the work-life situation just isn't the right fit right now sadly. I appreciate your feedback.
Sounds like you aren't with the right attorney. A good paralegal/attorney relationship is important. If the attorney isn't giving you challenging work, he or she probably doesn't trust you, or possibly anyone, to do drafts of documents. I have been doing this for almost 15 years and it has taken at least a year before the attorney I am with trusts me enough to start a draft of a pleading and usually that's because I saw something that needed drafted and just went ahead and did it and gave it to the attorney to review, hence proving I know enough about research and writing to jump start the process.
I work in house so some of that drafting isn't something we do much of. I take a lot of initiative and have been praised for the work I do, but I agree I think it's a trust issue likely for the attorney and not so much my work product, but it can be a little frustrating and mind numbing.
