Schwab. No account fees. No minimums. No ATM fees. North America-based customer service. Hood interface.

I’m a big fan of Alliant Credit Union.

First Republic and City National Bank are both great.

They had this tailored student loan refinancing program which was one of the best. Plus- their ads target HENRYS - high earning not rich yet: lawyers, doctors, young entrepreneurs

like

USAA if you have a military connection.

Schwab for sure. The best bank. Amazing customer service with intelligent reps. Zero atm fees, ever.

Hi All! I recently started my own Private Equity firm. Searching for any big do’s, dont’s, or hard lessons you learned along the way. As always, thank you all! 🐟

Looking for advice on defending depositions. I am a first year associate and am defending my first deposition next week. I reviewed the prior transcripts from this case, and there were objections to what seemed like proper questions. Is there a strategic reason to object beyond improper form? For example, if my client is asked something that could be harmful (or at least make us look bad), should I just object? Very worried this transcript will be ex. Partially venting, and partially asking if this is worth sticking through: I am a junior associate. About a month ago, I made the move to a larger firm. Since day 1, one of the partners has constantly put me on the spot, quizzing me every time he calls, which gave me a lot of anxiety, but I was dealing with it. Up until recently, the same thing happened, and he yelled at me, screamed that he was pissed off, when I didn’t know the answer to one of his questions. Now he doesn’t delegate any work..

I’m a 5th year associate in big law. I’ve always kept partnership in mind as an option, but last year I spent some time thinking about the future of my career and think I may want to go in-house (although I haven’t completely ruled out partnership). And where should I look to get a feel for the types of jobs out there?

Is it normal for a smaller firm (less than 100 attys) to expect biglaw level hours without the pay? Current first year who has been at my first job since September, making $85k. My firm’s billable requirements aren’t super high at 1900, but the partner I work for has told me that she’d like me to bill 2200.I know there’d tons of ppl in BL billing close to 3k but I feel like this is way too much for my current pay.
