1) Am100 firm with 1900+ billable hour requirement, very reputable in the region
2) Am200 firm with 1750+ billable hour requirement, less reputable in the region because it’s a satellite office, pays $35k less than option 1

What would you consider the “it” company of today in tech from an employee perspective (in terms of culture, growth, pay, etc) and what companies should be avoided?

At a career crossroads. Post MBA, probably will make Manager in next year or two. Can go back to industry in a local office leadership role with a pay bump OR stay on path to Manager. Industry role could potentially turn into something bigger down the road (regional or potentially executive leadership). Or I stay in consulting and the work I’m doing is project management. Not the “consulting” I signed up for.

I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

HR opinion: Do I have any leverage as a hospital nurse case manager in negotiating earned time?
