I’m an Analyst at a multi family office earning $65k total comp. I have 4.5 years of experience in modeling, memo write-ups, NAV reconciliation, report write-ups, help negotiate better fees with GPs, furnish our quarterly financials, other ad hoc tasks, etc. I feel as though I’m under compensated by a lot. Anyone know what the comp should be or if I’m in the ballpark currently?

I was in a similar position a few months ago and hit the market and pretty much every position was in the $90k-$120k range at a minimum. I more than doubled my salary

like

It may depend on your location but with 4.5 years of experience, you could easily be above $100k base. Some megafunds are still hiring and you can easily get that number even at an Analyst position. Try getting your foot in the door.

Thank very much! I am going to look at some of them and see how I can get in front.

Your comp is more than half what it should be. Our first year analysts out of undergrad are paid $120-140k total comp. With ~5 years experience you should be well above $200k total comp (maybe close to 300) - assuming you’re in any of the major cities in the US.

Hi All Fishes,
I'm a 5 year experience UI developer in Angular with very little experience in Java backend.
My current CTC is 17.5lpa and I'm thinking to switch company for personal financial reasons.

Is it appropriate to expect a salary range between 40-45lpa given my experience and skills?

Researching the job mkt & pay for nursing: It is so easy to set up a first interview esp. as a nurse. Set up a zoom meeting, in the zoom meeting ask abt job details and ask for the salary range. They will give it to you, and in my case it was the same range for both of the companies. (Hospice oncall nurse here👋). Then you fit in somewhere on that continuum based on education & experience—that where the negotiation comes in—they will make a case to place you as low as possible on the scale.

Hello fishes ,

My lwd is just one week away and I have offers from,

1. Amadeus
2. Microfocus
3. Sapiens

Offers are almost same around 28L and YOE is 7.10. Could you please suggest which one is better based on WLB and job security?

Thank you

like

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.

I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.

Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.

Should I stay or should I go?

Hi all, negotiating with HR on salary for a new AS position and want to know what’s fair. I was an AE for two years, took a promotion at another agency for SAE for only 8 months and am now being recruited for AS at 80k. All of my agencies have been large, I’ve worked on pharma and a large global account, I also started “managing” at the AE level due to my team’s structure. Is $80k fair? Thanks!

I’m a very experienced veterinary assistant who has been doing this job for about 4 years in total however because of my skill level I would say I am more of an unlicensed technician. I’m looking for input on what I should ask for a raise. Given the minimum wage, I make about $5 over but that hasn’t really changed to match inflation of living, etc and truly feel like I should be making a decent amount more given my skills. Any helpful advice?

Any Bridge Engineers/Structural Engineers in here? I got my PE this year and have 5 YOE in TX + an MS. What sort of raise would you expect for receiving your PE working in a consulting firm? I am EOR on a number of structures in development, I manage EITs and Drafters (within projects; I'm not a supervisor), and am doing a lot in general. I'm at 78k currently, which is apparently still in the upper range of EIT salaries per a job posting in CO. I'm thinking of 15% (5% merit, 10% PE). Any ideas?

Hey Cognizant folks! Good Morning. I have an interview scheduled for front end web developer role 7+ YOE. Any suggestions on type of questions asked would really be appreciated. Hi All. I have a good job offer but I'm wondering whether I should negotiate comp. I made it clear from the beginning what my target for base comp was which is ~$10K over the top of the posted salary range for the job. I also said that I was comfortable proceeding with the interview process despite the top of that range being lower (somewhat weakening my position for later I suppose). The offer is at the very top of the range. Bonus is 5% less than what I get in my current job. Negotiate?

I mean what is the time of the year where requirements in most of the companies are at pick?

Because in my previous switch, 15 days were wasted due to Christmas and in March lot of requirements went on hold due to financial year ending.

I am currently working in advertising with experience on fintech & CPG. I would like to work in tech marketing, specifically Google’s APMM program.
I’ve been studying some PM/PMM books/podcasts/videos, attending Google events, and want to keep learning more to try to prepare myself as much as I can.
What resources helped you get into product marketing/Google?
Has anyone here moved from advertising to tech?
Would love to hear from a marketer about their experience getting into Google.

Compensation level across Senior Associate/AVP/VP in CRE in debt or equity - curious what people are hearing these days. Recently heard VP is at $180K base + 50-100% bonus.

Those with experience at a variety shops, which type of groups tend to provide the best work/life balance (family office, corporate PE arms, etc.)?

For someone who is in REPE without a graduate degree, what are the pros/cons for getting a masters in RE? Would you recommend? (This is a new bowl I’m hoping to get traction on. Please join and contribute!)

My group develops MF/ retail and acquires all the other main food groups. I am responsible for all modeling, underwriting, prepare debt and equity decks and act as project manager for the developments. It’s a very entrepreneurial group.
