I am taking an associate role at a REPE office and my offer includes an annual $70k bonus that is based on “achieving 3 mutually agreed upon metrics”. Has anyone had a bonus based on something like this? What metrics make sense? I’m not sure what to propose.

My group develops MF/ retail and acquires all the other main food groups. I am responsible for all modeling, underwriting, prepare debt and equity decks and act as project manager for the developments. It’s a very entrepreneurial group.

See if you can get any basis points in the deals - that’s where you’ll really make $$$. Especially at a boutique shop (which it sounds like you’re looking at given their strange metrics call out). Having skin in the game pays much greater in the long run. In terms of metrics to choose, it depends what your role will be. If you’re acquisitions, then focus it around sourcing/closing deals.

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

So I’m in industry from big 4, and a colleague with same yoe comes from MBB. High paying tech firm. I think I work harder and produce quality content at speed, but they can hold executive conversations that tend to impress senior stakeholders.

Big 4 produces work horses and MBB produces leaders. Also they could be a work horse too since I don’t have full visibility.

I’m an Analyst at a multi family office earning $65k total comp. I have 4.5 years of experience in modeling, memo write-ups, NAV reconciliation, report write-ups, help negotiate better fees with GPs, furnish our quarterly financials, other ad hoc tasks, etc. I feel as though I’m under compensated by a lot.
