Yep. Best decision I ever made. I’m pretty sure my husband would agree since I no longer want to murder him for breathing and he doesn’t feel like I’m trying to freeze him to death because my blood is boiling and my skin is melting. Also, I’m only 46 and was only 44 when this madness started to truly ruin my life. I am not going to spend an unknown amount of years feeling like dog shit and driving everyone around me insane. The other way I look at it is this: I am replacing the hormones my body stopped making. It’s not like I’m injecting truly unnatural substances into my face or body. Which, if that’s someone’s thing, I fully support that for them , but we should all be honest with ourselves about what “unnatural” truly is.
I love this comment for OP. I hope this helps you see your situation differently.
It definitely is unnatural, but I'll tell you it changed my life. I was chronically depressed, and for no reason that my mind or body could understand. I was ruining it for my entire family. HRT is what helped me. It's okay to admit that some of us could use the extra help, especially if we're in the fortunate position of being able to afford it for ourselves. I hope you feel better. If you're very worried about it being unnatural try to see if there are other options, and consider HRT as your final straw.
