Workday all the way
HR folks love Workday due to its amazing user interface but as soon as you get IT involved, SAP SuccessFactors wins. SAP SF may not be as “sexy” looking as WD, but its capabilities are much stronger when it comes to flexibility, integration, etc. So at a high level, my pick is SF but off course, this recommendation would differ from one client to another based on their unique needs.
Workday is best in class but pricey and not the most flexible. Clients that are DIYers or have complex/non-standard processes that can’t be changed might do better with SAP.
PeopleSoft is still out there btw.
Workday undisputed! Regulatory issues in Asia and a few other limitations but Workday is constantly growing
I am confused by the Workday hype. I’m very tech savvy and I find it very painful to use (I’m a relationship leader so responsible for a number of people in the practice). It takes a long time for screens to load, you need to type in silly code phrases exactly to get information, it doesn’t look that good and seems a bit unwieldy. I don’t get what people like about it. When I ask others the biggest supporters seem to never have used it much or are comparing it to manual processes. Surely this isn’t the Cadillac of HRIS! 🤔😩
Do you guys use Workday Professional Services Automation (PSA) for client billing and time tracking or are you just referring to regular HCM?
