I’m curious if anyone thinks there should be a limit on how many projects to manage at once. In my current role as PM in the packaging industry, I have about 15 or so active projects with 5 or 6 wrapping up. I’m about to kick off 3 more, and have about 3 in the forecast for the first quarter. I realize that each field has different experiences, and expectations, but sometimes it just seems extremely overwhelming when trying to manage so many activities.

I have been a PM at my company for 2 years now, with a years prior experience as associate PM. I got promoted before my certification, but was told if I did not get a PMP or ACP I would get my promotion taken away.
Received the ACP and have not seen a raise. Now we have a girl that is getting a 15k raise and going straight from Project coordinator to PM (with one year experience) and no certification. She will now be 5k less than me. If she gets CaPM she gets a 5k raise. Wong to feel slighted?
