I’m currently a 26yo analyst on a corp accounting (SEC and Internal reporting) team in manufacturing but I feel like my growth opportunities have stalled and am looking to make a move. I’m interested in the FP&A side. I have some experience from my first year in variance analysis and plant level budget making, but the past years have been mostly quarter/ year end reporting. Is this a normal career move people make, and do I have a shot at breaking into FP&A if I am brushed up for interviews? Thx

Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. Should I stay it out and wait for TC to align or take the promotion and jump ship bc I will likely get paid more elsewhere given how recruiters/other companies eat up hiring recently promoted ppl from other firms?

I'm in finance/tech FPA, looking to go back to the defense industry for a 25% increase in TC. But wanted to see if I should leverage the new salary with current company to see if they'll match.

Background: got a promotion at current company that didn't come with sufficient increase . After stating my case I was told it would be evaluated next October, which is what prompted the initial job search.

Current TC 103K [88/15], offer 125k base [+discretionary bonus].
