There are no shortcuts in this industry (or any industry for that matter). It doesn’t matter how many books you read on riding a bike. You just have to get out there and keep falling off until you figure it out. Most aren’t willing to fight through the pain for years until it comes together (hopefully, but no guarantee). If it was easy, there wouldn’t be a big payoff for those that are successful.
Ditto... it's not the books... it's getting out there... if you are starting out you don't have a large enough budget so you do "Gorilla" marketing... print up an attractive postcard maybe a brochure and get out in your community and hand out as many as you can. Attack FB and Linkin and any alumni site your associated with. Your sincere face is what you are marketing
You need to create a marketing plan that is a year-round plan focused on your target market. Then you need to work the plan. I agree with the statements that reading books is not the answer, you need to be in front of people.
Yes, my husband and I go away to a nice hotel in January.... bring our laptops and map out our full years marketing plan
All it would have taken is one or two of those clients to be top level and you would have a different outlook on the results. Keep swinging the bat.
How many seminars exactly have you done and how many people have you had at each? What’s your average booking ratio at each? What’s your average close ration from meetings scheduled?
