You're probably at the top of the pay range for not having your CPA. Personally, I'm in PA for 20 years, still at SM, mostly by choice. So, I can't compare myself to someone in PA for 20 years that's leading the practice and is a partner. We're doing different things.

Exactly. So to ask whether they’re being compensated fairly is not really a good question. The answer is, probably not because they’re at least one promotion behind but more likely two.

Good morning. I am currently a senior associate in BugLaw, and I have applied to several trial attorney jobs in Chicago offices of federal agencies since the start of the pandemic. According to usajobs.gov, my applications to the DOJ and CFTC were “referred,” and my application to the SEC was received and my GS scale verified. But I haven’t received any updates on these applications in over a month. Does anyone here have any insights on these or on federal hiring generally? Thanks!

Need some advice. Currently 32 YO with $23.7k in student loans, $60k in retirement, and $54k in cash. Want to pay off loans by end of year, max out 401k, and save for a house. Does it make sense to use $10k from pension to pay down loans and the rest from cash? How much should I have in my 401k by this point?

What is the benefit of investing in mutual funds such as VTSAX over a similar ETF other than reoccurring investments that allow you to set it and forget it? Is that why people choose them?
