I’m feeling drawn toward a career in restorative justice and am planning to take the California bar exam in July. I’m not yet licensed in any jurisdiction, I’d like to understand what career options I can pursue afterward. I previously worked with Tribal courts in Minnesota under a student attorney license. I would appreciate guidance on relevant certifications, potential career paths, and the types of jobs I could apply for after the bar exam to move into this field.

+1 A1’s comment, plus what is “restorative justice” exactly and who’s paying for it?

Yeah, I get that, t’s mostly government or grant-funded, so it’s not a huge standalone job market. I see it more as something you do within a broader civil law or public interest career, not the only path.

Anyone struggling with imposter syndrome? When I worked for a very well known Fortune500 tech company I couldn't help but feel major imposter syndrome. Everyday was a struggle and tried to keep myself small so no one would find out I was a "fraud." Looking back on it now, wiser and more experienced, I realized how detrimental feeling that way

I'm a third year plaintiff's employment law attorney and I'm looking to move to defense, preferably still in employment law. I received an offer from a midsize firm that primarily focuses on PI with little-to-no employment law practice, so I'll have a bit of a learning curve. Offer is $90k, billable hours of 2100. Is this reasonable? I'm dead-set on leaving my current job, and this would be a $20k pay increase - which makes me believe I'm leaning towards taking it for those reasons only.
