It may be a good idea if your goal is to make a lot of money and save it to start your own firm, but it is not a good idea to work for a “settlement mill” if you want to get the skills that are necessary to litigate.
Work for a smaller, well-respected firm that will give you a percentage of the fee on cases you work and allow you to file suit if necessary. That’s the best setup.
Many lawyers would say so based on caseload.
I run a firm. If if you are willing to move to Texas will pay $200,000 a year and a percentage of all cases you handle.
Working in Texas and also interested.
Do you get a % of what you settle also?
Yeah most firms do a third, I got nothing on $250k in fees referred and now Ive opened up my own shop with two other attorneys
