What they will prefer? 3. How do I prefer for my interview? 4. What is the salary package for this role? I have three years experience. Please guide me!

Beware of recruiters. They promise the world but a lot of the time they submit you and leave you in the dust. Especially if you are from a lower ranked school. Speaking from expertise here

Target firms that are on the Am Law 100 and the mid-size 30+ atty firms. Litigation is supposed to ramp up so might be a good time. I’ve helped a few move from ID to commercial lit, it’s definitely within reach.
Any advice on the ID to commercial lit? I’m in the process now. AmLaw ID firm, 2 years out.
It’s been a struggle to gain any traction with firms that do commercial lit.
I worked with 6 recruiters and ultimately ended up finding my in house job on my own. My friend worked with a recruiter who found her a job that fit right away. Id say find a recruiter or two (or many lol) but don’t stop looking on your own too.
Do you have any recommendations for recruiters?
What year are you? The farther out you are, the harder it will be. I got out at 6 years, but it took about a year to find someplace. I hustled and worked my contacts to get interviews and then really emphasized my strong litigation experience and ability to run a case solo (because ID attorneys get way more hands on/actual experience early on than non-ID attorneys).
I am applying to employment lit positions so this is good to hear. Appreciate it!
I’ve never had a recruiter actually be useful to me. I moved from ID to an L&E big 4 on my own, just from cold applying.
