I’m in the middle stages of interviewing for a few roles, and of course the one I’m least interested in is moving the fastest. Has anyone dealt with getting an offer from a backup choice while still waiting to hear back from a role you’re more excited about? How did you handle the timing? Any tips for slowing down one process or encouraging another company to move faster?

Tbh, if the company you like less gives you an offer, (if appropriate) I’d probably tell the company you prefer that you've received another offer and ask if they can give you an update on timing. In the meantime, don't rush to turn down the offer you already have, as having one concrete option puts you in a much stronger position.

This is solid advice. Do you ever share information about the other offer, if asked? Like salary, role, or company? Just want to be prepared how to answer that if asked.

From previous roles in management and hiring, just keep accepting applications. If that’s the least why keep holding on when there are many interested unemployed searching.

One time I had a stack of resumes and well a lot of them didn’t even make the first stack the primary stack interested in.

I live in metro Atlanta. I’m looking to move to a space that has a more suburban feel, but is still close enough to the city to not hamper my social life. I like going to the party - not constantly living in it. Any suggestions? Currently renting, but open to buying in the next three years.

Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC bangalore rescinding an offer given the current market condition? The role in my offer letter seems to be pretty generic and during interviews, it didn't look like, they were interviewing for a particular project or team. I have doubts specifically because of HR's behaviour during the whole recruitment process where they never responded to my emails or calls. Is this normal practice?

First time poster here!

After spending 4 years as a mid-level ops manager, I tried to break into HR through talent acquisition. Now after 6 years in TA, I've had a hard time getting out of it. My goal was always to get into a more broad HRBP position, but I've since worked for smaller orgs without a solid HR career path. When I ask about my career goals, they keep telling me, "Soon!" Or "Maybe in 6 months!"

I'm testing SPHR in June. Any advice for securing the type of role I'm aiming for?
