I’m lucky enough to have hybrid working where I’m expected to go into the office a minimum of 3 days a week. Most people in my office take Mondays and Fridays at home, but sometimes I prefer a Wednesday to split the week. What’s everyone’s preference?

I wish I had the ability to choose my WFH days. We have a set hybrid schedule: MWF in office, Tuesday Thursday at home. If I had the ability, I would work Monday - Wednesday in office and stay home Thursday and Friday.

Thursday and Friday tend to be my preference too. At least with Tuesdays and Thursdays at home it still splits up the week?

I try to WFH as much as possible. I generally choose to WTFH during the mid week slump and go on on the busy tail ends

Do you ever miss going into the office?

I like doing Tuesday to Thursday in the office. It gives me quiet time on Monday to catch up and Friday to focus without distractions. Breaking up the week sounds nice too though!

See I like going into the office on a Monday because it’s super quiet on both the commute and the office since everyone else is at home!

Wed at home

Is that your choice? Or your designated day?

Hello, I wanted to mention that I work as a sports commentator, specifically about soccer. I used to be one of the main journalists for Spanish media, but since I moved to Miami I feel the general passion for soccer is very different 🥲 The energy and commitment are not even close to what I felt in Spain, where some businesses would close if the match was too important. I hope this nostalgia goes away soon.

One of my direct reports has asked about going part time. They currently manage special reports in a bi-weekly publication, working closely with sales, freelance writers, and an internal designer. Has anyone had experience with job sharing in this type of a role?

The argument that climate change is not man-made has been disproven by science over and over again, yet many people believe that the global crisis is either not real, not of our making, or both, in part because the news media deliberately chooses not to talk about it because it doesn't sell enough.
