I disagree, the quietness of the typical electric car is nice for some people but definitely not the main selling point when buying one. Some people love the feel and loudness of a powerful vehicle so I think this is actually genius from Dodge's part
I don't think that's necessarily the point of an electric car. Personally, I'm seriously considering one of their cars exactly because it retains that traditional car feel while still having all the perks of an EV
No I actually think the whole point of an electric car is to save money on fuel and reduce your emissions
Not once have I heard someone say that the reason they got their electric car is that it's so quiet. It's certainly a nice perk but I don't think that's why people are getting them
I'm not sure if Dodge is doing this to try and trick buyers into thinking that their electric car is just like any other gasoline-powered car. Still, electric cars are already growing in popularity and don't really need this kind of gimmick to succeed. I'm curious to see how this turns out.
I'd agree that the noise level aspect of it is simply a bonus. There are plenty of car enthusiasts out there that are super into customizing their cars to make them brighter or louder, so this just makes EVs appealing to those consumers
The point of electric cars is to have a car that uses a different source of energy. There are still people will all different tastes to cater to, including those who love a super loud muscle car. They aren't going to be eager to make the switch if they are giving up everything they love about cars. Remember, for a lot of people, it's a hobby and not just a mode of transport.
