I’m moving to a new grade level and the classroom across the hall. That teacher is moving into my room.

I thought it would be fine in the last few days of teacher inservice to start moving my stuff into her cabinets and vice versa. I’ve done it at previous schools.
Here we have to box up any things we want moved, label them with our new room number, and leave them for the custodial team to move over the summer.
The hot take? I asked to be provided with moving boxes. Anyone else moving rooms?

Generally, the summer time allows the custodial staff to wax the floors and clean the rooms. Did you shoot out an email to staff to see if they could provide boxes from home and cc: your principal and vice principal?

Teachers must always take the initiative, if they want to get anything done. No one is going to bring it to us, or make sure we have what we need.
