So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. What’s the name typical salary for an Epic Professional Billing/Claims Team Lead? My investing strategy is just to DCA into an S&P 500 index fund and keep buying and holding. If I understand correctly, the sole disadvantage this has compared to a tax sheltered retirement account is that the quarterly dividends will be taxed? But even so, they’ll be taxed at a lower qualified dividend rate since I’m automatically reinvesting those dividends.

I currently have both of my retirement IRAs in SPY (Roth & Traditional). I rarely ever see anyone here invested in SPY, it's usually a vanguard fund like VOO, VTI, VXX etc. What's you're reasoning behind that, and alternatively if you're in SPY, why?
