I’m not sure if I’m asking for too much money (even if the listing is in range of what I want) or if me not having a degree or I’m “too over-qualified” or what causes employers to not choose me but I’m getting discouraged by rejection emails BIG TIME. 🙃

Maybe try double-checking your salary/hourly rate against a few different salary tools to make sure that what you're asking for is in line with what companies are paying. Other than that, there's not much you can do except keep trying.

Isn't "over-qualified" the worst excuse ever? If you're willing to do a job for the amount they're offering they should be thrilled to get more than what they're asking for. It's a huge mistake for companies to assume you'd move on too quickly. Many people would rather be content with what they do and who they work with than climb the corporate ladder until they're miserable.

Hang in there and good luck with your search!

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background? Do they ask salary expectations? I have no idea what to say for the salary question. Feedback appreciated. Thanks

I am in the process of finding administrative assistant interns from our local universities. In an effort to make my job opportunity appealing, I am asking everyone in this bowl about an appropriate job title. Is "Administrative Assistant" outdated or unappealing? I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title. Are there alternative titles that you find more appropriate for 2022?
