It definitely is a lot to juggle. I’ve been trying to step back from a lot of things this year, it has gotten to be too much for me lately. Enjoying this time off though for sure. Was much needed and it is only a little bit longer until we get to enjoy winter break!

I said at the beginning of the school year that I was not going to put so much on my plate...but here we are!

It is those little moments that keep me going. I'm so thankful that we have those good moments to counter the not-so-good ones.
I'm getting to the point where I'm getting fed up with the constant demands on my time, to be honest. I like teaching and I genuinely enjoy the work. But there are days when there is just too much going on that I have to involved myself in that isn't actually teaching. I'm not a fan of meetings and all the other admin stuff, and I can see myself, at some point in the next few years, moving on to something in business and leaving teaching behind.

I have to say that our principal is so great about compensation teachers for putting in time at the extracurricular events. Because we are a Title I school, she was able to get grants to pay teachers for extra stuff we do as long as it includes parent/teacher/student involvement.

Is there really a perfect balance. It seems that there is always more duties and expectations than there is day.
