Hi, when you say they dont take ypu seriously, do you mean your current employers or in interviews? Hospitality is such a hard industry and getting your foot in the door can be tough but i could definitely give you some tips for key words to hit when applying for jobs

I guess it is not about the age, it is about having a lot of people applying for the same positions and that give employers more choice to choose from. It is just bad out there.

I believe the job market is not the best right now. So many people are struggling to find work. It took my brother months to find a job and he is new to working. The best advice I would give is to keep applying and reaching out to the managers in person.

Do you ask when given the opportunity what precisely the employer is looking for to better align your answers as well as appearance to that of what those already hired appear? Do you do your home work of the company you apply for, and grasp what you need to do so that you can better be taken seriously??Just saying the flip side as we all need to accept better our role and responsibility in things because sadly I don't see many here posting of learning and from their "mistakes".

Hi All, just sharing what on mind to vent it out from my system. Maybe with this I could gain some insights and inspiration.
I have been working as a data scientist since 2018 & have been the bread winner. I have neither been under a proper mentor nor with a team of peers from my field to help me out. I was alone and confused. I have never really got the chance to prove myself which makes me all the more depressed. I'm not sure what to do with my future, indecisive and low on confidence.

I believe the job market is not the best right now. So many people are struggling to find work. It took my brother months to find a job and he is new to working. The best advice I would give is to keep applying and reaching out to the managers in person.
