In the last year, I have interviewed for Systems/Business Analysis roles. In 4 instances, I have been gaslit with the results of the interview process. I passed screening calls, reached the final interview stages (non-technical), then radio silence? When it happens once, I could chalk it up as just a bad recruiting process, but when it happens again and these different companies are in a sector, that has a less than stellar reputation for racial diversity, then the alarm bells start ringing!

Service design seems a popular role in consulting in the past year or so, certainly seeing more grads go down this route. Is there much overlap with business analysis? When I’ve worked with service designers the output seems to be another version of a process map, are there other skills and experience needed? I’m wondering how easy a move would be from business analysis to service design...

Has anyone found the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification to be helpful for people in non-technical roles? Any experience in how potential employers view this cert would be greatly appreciated!

What are the coolest exits from Digital?

Even without LinkedIn, I see a lot of people younger than me in much better roles. They started off with relevant jobs right out of college. I graduated in 2009 when the economy tanked and worked in retail for years before I was finally able to land in corporate. Does anybody else struggle with this as well? I’m constantly comparing myself to others who are younger than me.
