If you wanted to work for your audit client, could you simply quit without anything lined up and then reach out for a job at the end of your two weeks? Private company if that is helpful information.

Can’t decide between reporting + technical roles vs corporate accounting roles. Coming out of audit and I like both aspects. Has anyone tried both sides and have any insights? Does one of these have higher salary potential? Does corporate accounting give you a higher chance of reaching a controller position since you’re actually in the GL, whereas technical + reporting will probably have you in a specialized group in larger companies?

I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working on real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently base $80k with only 20% bonus. On top of that I have about 5 years experience. I’m good at my job and receive good reviews from everyone.
