Toronto ad fish 🤠 I’ve spent most of my career working as a copywriter in London (6 years here, 2 years Toronto) and the market is pretty different here. I’m planning on moving back home but wondered….how do you find work in Toronto? Agencies barely post openings, is the recruiter scene strong? Is it mostly who you know?

Recently been asking for 75-85 in my interviews and people seemed fine with the range
Over the last couple of years. Compensation varies by quite a bit from1 to 3 years. 1 year in I was making 55k, 3 years in 73k. At the 4 year mark if you've shown progressive growth 75k-80k is fair and average, based on my personal experience and creative peers from my graduating class.... 80k+ at 4 years is not unreasonable if your book is strong and the company is offering a competitive salary.

Not enough
Year 3 I was making 55k. With the current market, I would say somewhere in the 60-75k range seems reasonable, but it’s also very dependant on the agency. The big jump for me was senior salary.
