Hotel Del in Coronado has an ice rink by the ocean, and is all decorated with lights. Big tree in the lobby too.

like

Christmas Candy Cane Lane or Merritage Ct. Both in the burbs…

Also like Christmas card lane.
Curious if anyone has been to the lights at the Bay that happens this time of year? Worth the time? Keep hearing it on the radio

It’s cute! I love anything with lights so I think it’s worth it but bundle up! It’s freezing

My friends and I do a beach picnic and exchange gifts : )

Hey everyone! Wanted some advice - got an offer from a big ad agency for a Planning Manager role. Base salary is $90K (more than satisfactory, I have 2.5-3 years of total agency exp), but their PTO is severely lacking especially compared to my unlimited PTO benefit at my current job - they offered 10 actual PTO days, which are even prorated since it's mid-year. Assuming their PTO allowance is negotiable, any advice for how to handle the email follow-up to the written offer/how much to ask for?

Hello,

I am an associate clinical social worker (ACSW) looking to apply for a Medical Social Worker I or a Psych Social Worker job at

Through it all, I adapted to and trained in various treatment modalities (Crisis intervention, TFCBT, Seeking Safety, & MAP), approaches (client-focused & strength-based) & am familiar with the DSM V nomenclature all in my 1 year of experience. What do HR recruiters at Kaiser Permanente look for when hiring ACSWs?

Anyone hiring those who have been out of work for a year? I took time off to tend to personal matters, but I am now looking to get back into the workforce again. My previous experience includes time at B4 audit up to senior level and then transitioned to manager in industry. Senior/manager roles are preferred.

I don’t mind audit. However, I’d prefer it not to be at a B4, as I am looking for some semblance of a work life balance.

DM me if you have something above, thanks.

Any advice on negotiating for things other than salary with current employer? Most interested in a <40 hr work week (while still considered FTE), but also good to hear perspectives on negotiating for more PTO, benefits, 401k match, bonus, etc. How do I turn the conversation to this from annual raise discussion? Should I address with my line manager or HR? What are fair trade-offs for salary $s?
For context, annual reviews are coming up, but company has been clear budget for salary raises is low.

It feels like everyone has gotten so down on advertising. You can still make great work for great brands at great agencies. You can still do things you’re proud of. And fill your portfolios with beautiful things. And have great impact. And collect shiny awards and enjoy great after parties after it. And see your commercials on TV during the Super Bowl. It’s still a great way to make a living if done right. And craft services is still tasty. You just have to make the right career moves.

So, this is a little awkward, but I recently moved to SD for a fresh start, and honestly, I love this city. My problem is I have been more of a homebody since I moved here and I'm a little intimidated to go out and meet people because I don't feel like I fit in here. I am overweight and this city is full of active, and attractive people. I guess I am wondering what my experience would be if I got out more? I feel like people look at me when I'm in public because I stand out due to my size.
