I have 1.5 YOE in MC and was recently contacted about an opportunity for a data analyst role in private equity. I’m pretty clueless about the space, but comp is an 85% pay raise and the work generally sounds interesting. Has anyone exited to a similar role? What’s career growth like? My goal is to go to in house for media / entertainment industry, hopefully become an executive. TIA :)

For you experts... I’m a first-timer (pun!) buying lux watches. I’m looking at an updated model of a JSC (geographic), to be released sometime Q4 this year. MSRP is 12k few questions:
1) what is realistic price ballpark from an AD (I’m not in a hurry)
2) any advice for reaching out to ADs, especially given this isn’t yet released? I.e., any common mistakes to avoid?
3) MSRP includes leather strap, and looking at current model prices, metal strap adds ~2k to price. Sound right?

When I was a device driver developer with 2 years relevant experience I had got calls from Nvidia and Qualcomm. Unfortunately I wasn't able to crack the interviews back then.

For next 5 years I worked mostly on application development and broadening my exposure. I am not getting even a single call from such companies now.

Is it a good idea to rebrand myself as a device driver developer so that I can get calls again?

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. Has anyone ever worked at an agency in which the project management department was properly utilized? I traditionally was brought up in my career where PM type tasks were handled by lower level AMs. I have observed separating AM and PM tasks into two separate departments just causes communication issues and lazy account people. Account people should have a good understanding of how much effort and time goes into a project. Project Managers are missing a lot of context so blind leading blind.
