Will you make epic Netflix stuff? If so. Take it. That's like the dream client and your book will take you anywhere.
If they leave their cool stuff to the agency and make you guys write emails, be careful.
Follow the work. Your book > resume.
Go to Netflix, Padawan. Never look back.
Definitely Netflix. If you've never seen their culture deck, Google it. They have a fascinating company culture that they legitimately follow. Agencies could take some notes...
Are you really concerned about that? I feel like it's grandstanding for you to ask that question. There is no issue and you won't leave Netflix for a long time.
Netflix and chill
Btw, I have a friend who works there, and she confirms it's amazing. Plus there's that amazing new office in LA.
What copywriter1 said. Ask questions about what they do in-house vs the work they push to their agencies (tactfully of course). Its possible they have "creative" teams who just iterate all the junk they don't want to pay an agency for. If the work is legit tho, zero problem getting back to agency.
Netflix is a dream employer. Do it!
Hey, don't worry. It's not hard to get back in the agency world, especially when the line between ATL and BTL is so blurred nowadays. You will be fine. I spent some time writing for a competing streaming TV outlet, and all everyone ever wants to know is what that was like. Go fig.
The work sounds like it would be social media and emails. But my current gig is mostly social media and banners. So idk what's worse.
Their social is literally one of the best in entertainment if not the best so the bar is pretty high, don't get too cocky ;) Copywriters make all the difference
So that was literally me 3 years ago and they gave everything good to their agencies and asked me to build a database for banner ctas...the people were amazing and it seems like the industry is swinging client side, so depends on what you're looking for. Good experience? Maybe not. Prestige and a chance to go back to agency with a hefty pay bump? Yah.
