$175 paralegals? You people are fucking wild
That's more than what my firm bills private non insured clients and I do labor and employment law
Lol we’re at like $225 for partners, $200 associates and $90 for paras
Insurance carriers are the worst, yet their influence is everywhere.
Just talking about same in my firm. We recently raised our rates to $315 partner and $255 associate in the same space for a major carrier. They didn’t even blink. So we started talking to other catastrophic injury lawyers and feedback has been that your proposed rates are doable.
If ID firms started asking for higher rates in lockstep instead of racing to the bottom or operating in a black box, we can all raise our rates to a decent amount. If you’re defending against a $25+ million demand, you should be paid according to the risk.
That is high. Our highest rates for ID are $250 partners, $225 senior associates, 200 associates and 100 paralegals- and those cases are few- most are 200/175/150/75

It’s what the insurance oc’s pay in our area-
