Is anyone else struggling to stay focused on their work and personal life with everything happening in the world? I don't understand how anyone is able to live their life normally as we're about to enter WWIII, the economy is tanking, and whatever the hell is going on with ICE and the Marines.

Honestly, I think I've just become numb. I'm ready for everything to fall apart at any moment. I've stopped worring about getting into shape that's for sure!

I think I'm fortunate in that I've had so much going on with work lately that I can't follow the news too closely. Otherwise I'd probably be a nervous wreck. I just feel like we're in a very dangerous world and we've got hopelessly unserious people in charge. If we get through this year without some major calamity striking us it'll be a miracle.

To be honest, I was doing OK about staying focused on life and what I needed to do until yesterday. Now I’m expecting everything to fall apart. I can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and have to pay five dollars for a gallon of gas.

Hi everyone. I’m trying to transition from working at a non-profit to a more profitable position within research. My current title at my org is as a CR-assistant. Any suggestions of good transitional positions within clinical research? (That could be done remotely). Thank you!!

Hi. I have applied for a job in an academic setting for a leadership role in cancer research. Duties would have me responsible for a small team of research nurses as well as other managerial duties for the department. I have been a research nurse for 3 years now, but I have no experience applying for a salaried position or a role in leadership. What sort of salary would be appropriate to ask for? I know that I should aim high and let them counter, but how high exactly? Thanks I’m advance

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

Anyone have good CRA interview tips ? Entry level with Stryker. Appreciate it

I’m looking to transition from an academic medical center to pharma or a biotech. I have about 8 years of clinical research experience overall — 7 years combined as a CRC (CRC I, CRC II, and senior CRC) and 1 year as a PM. I’m also recently ACRP-CP certified.

I’ve worked with many different industry-sponsors and CROs throughout the years, but many jobs I am applying to require experience at a biotech/CRO/pharma company. Would really appreciate any advice or referrals. Thanks in advance!

Would appreciate any thoughts, insight, personal experience, referral., etc.!

Hi I have 5+ yrs of bedside clinical research nurse experience and have been trying to pivot to the CRO world. I have applied to over 40+ positions and keep getting rejected. I have reformatted my resume to ATS but that doesn’t seem to be working either. Why is it so hard to get into the CRO industry and why is my hospital experience not translating? Thanks
