Is it a mistake to negotiate if a company gives you exactly what you asked for? I listed a salary on my application, and the hiring manager let me know that it put me in the right range compared to overqualified candidates. If they decide to match my number perfectly, would asking for another $5k be considered acting in bad faith? I'm trying to find out if I have to stick to my original number now.

I received a job offer from company A and am currently negotiating salary. I have an interview with company B next week and know that they offer a higher base pay. There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Hi everyone! I have my first round of interviews at Dapper Labs this week for a Content Marketer role. They mentioned in the email that they would want to talk about compensation during the call. Does anyone have an idea of what the band is for this role/department?

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
