Koi is nice for lunch. Upscale but I wouldn't call it super duper fancy.

Oceana near Rockefeller center is pretty good, and only 7 blocks up from the Bryant park area
Last time I went to Del Friscos was awful. Their “house rub” is basically just a ton of salt, and the steaks came out cold

Hatsuhana is solid. There are other super nice sushi spots too.
I feel obligated to say Bryant Park Grill, which feels too obvious here. STK is very good too.
STK is so undeservedly pretentious (and has the name of the thing the client’s don’t want to eat in the title).
Kellari taverna!
A new Italian place called Valbella just opened at 3 Bryant Park. Menu looks good, but haven't been.
I second Kellari and Oceana. Both excellent!

Zuma is close-ish
Sushi Ginza Onodera if you feeling fancy. Best omakase in the area!
