Tata Consultancy I am a manager in Capgemini... have an offer frm TCS. the designation being offered is Assistant Consultant.. 9.8 years experience( 5 yrs with Cap) Even though I am getting a package of 25Lakhs.. it seems like a demotion in designation.. Cg has offered to match upto 23.5 lakhs.. Is it worth moving to TCS on this grade? My primary reason for moving out of Cg is i m bored of beauocracy and WLB at current project. Is it a good idea to still switch with the counter offer from Cg Capgemini Tata Consu

If you find the right project, you can do intellectually stimulating work that’s typically associated with commercial engagements and also get the work life balance. Not saying it’s easy by any means though
I want to kill myself. Spending time solving critical client challenges like “how do I embed a hyperlink in an email” and “what folder did that email attachment I downloaded save to”
My personal favorites are writing emails for clients to send, and building worksheets for them to do their jobs.
When I build a pivot table for them - their minds are blown - how can people making 6 figures be so inept?
I'm pretty happy. I ended up on a legit strategy project a few years ago that just keeps turning into more work as the clients get promoted up or move to a new office. One of the most challenging/frustrating parts is actually keeping a team that doesn't just want to do the mindless work.

If you're in certain tech fields you can swing it to commercial if you want
