If you can’t sleep before an interview should you ask to reschedule? As in, how bad does it look to ask to reschedule?

No. Have a cup of coffee.

like

What. Is there something else going on that is causing this? Regardless, do not reschedule.

like

Exactly ^ thank you

Fyi, I had the interview (did not reschedule), but asking for the future

like

In this case very situational. If it’s a first interview, and they are doing the “cattle call” you may not make it to that rescheduled date.

If it’s a later stage, they already have some stake in you, and there is a good reason, not really that big of a deal.

I do interviews and my schedule is jammed, so keep in mind, if you’re interviewing with multiple attorneys, rescheduling throws a wrench in a lot of schedules with people that are naturally hard to get all in the same time slot.

like

Any time I’ve asked to reschedule an interview they just never bothered calling me again.

like

I rescheduled due to a closing getting pushed a day and they understood. Got the job.

like

Sleep. It’s more important than anything else you could be doing. Especially if you’re looking to leave your current employer, hope you aren’t working extra on your way out!

like

I am and I am

God no lol Red Bull it up.

It’s ok to be nervous and it’s ok to say that you are nervous too

Na they ding u if u show fear. The trick with lawyers is to never flinch, much like horses

like

You can reschedule. It happens all the time in this remote time. Just don’t tell them the real reason (ie, lack of sleep)

Right exactly. I just feel like it makes such a difference. Like really night and day in how you present

I would not reschedule absent a true emergency, and I don’t consider a sleepless night an emergency.

I am the same way. Got sleeping meds for these scenarios prescribed. Highly recommend

Which?

I understand this might sound a little snobby but I'm not trying for it to come off that way. I've been around impressive people throughout my adult life. Anyone have slow months where you burn through a lot of your allotted pro bono/professional development hours to keep hitting minimum daily hours? The past few weeks have been like this for me.
