Hi all! I have a 45 minute screening interview at Facebook (Meta) next week for their Product Development Specialist position. Does anyone have any advice on what I can expect? In particular, I was told there would be a case study question at the end of the interview. Any advice or insight is appreciated!

I feel like good work is becoming really hard to put out. Shit work, led by shitty clients who are listening to shitty media agencies and their “insights” is super easy to put out
Lol! I think that’s the common story in a bunch of agencies nowadays 😮💨
Way harder and most of my ad peers are saying this too. It’s easy to produce a social post but actual good integrated work or a fun social activation? Super difficult.
I always see clients choosing safer work when the economy is in a downturn. They are under more pressure and safer work feels better for them to run, even though we know work that gets noticed is actually what you need when times are tough.

For what it’s worth, I find clients respond positively when agencies have a strong POV.
Ie: Standing behind what you think is the best idea, backing up with how their brand can benefit and not always saying yes to every request.
I’ve been having a lot more luck selling through work I’m proud of after adapting this IDGAF attitude with clients.
lol I wish you were a CD at my shop. It seems more often than not, unless you’re at a good top shop, leadership just wants to make sure the client is smiling no matter what and the easiest way for them to do that is just say yes and have zero POV. That is until the client gets wise and takes the business elsewhere.
In terms of the actual channels for distribution, it’s never been easier.
I’m referring to selling and making the work. Not distributing it.

This year has been great
Have met so few client side marketers with an actual point of view and backbone in this industry. Bureaucrats at the wheel of all these brands.

That hasn’t been my experience. What makes you say that?
