Does your firm do anything for yearly work anniversaries? It’s obviously not a big deal but I made it to a year at a firm with high attrition (at least ten associates in our division alone have left in my time here) and have received no acknowledgement of this fact. Nor have I heard anything about a year review. I’d take an atta boy and pat on the back.

But sometimes my boss does this thing where he tells me some information to complete a task for a client, I write down verbatim what he says and complete the task.
