S& is the best place in the Middle East with the best culture! Go for it. Having worked there on some projects the team is super helpful. Make sure to nail down your goals with your mentor (don’t mention you want to leave). Good luck
Op if you don’t want a toxic workplace then avoid S& at all costs 😂😂

Join the Lebanese Consultants bowl and make sure they approve of you. They are the consulting gatekeepers in the ME.
The path from SA to M at S& is actually quite meritocratic - it’s should take about 2.5 years. 30 is typical age group (for lateral/ post MBA hires) at this stage, so I wouldn’t worry about it. Whether it’ll be too exhausting or if you’ll burn out is a very subjective question and depends on your personal circumstances. Is the SA to M promotion tough? Yes. But M level always has a gap, so there’s always demand to promote people to M (hence the relative meritocracy irrespective of your nationality).

why M level always have a gap? Before M always exits? Don’t you have a lot more SA than M
Would they consider hiring at the mid-level SA (i.e. 1.5 years before M promotion)? And if so, what criteria would they look for to give mid-SA instead of entry-SA?
From my experience, it’s if you have relevant consulting experience + performance on the cases usually helps make that decision
Does it mean probability to enter as external hire at Manager level is high ?
OP, are you already in Middle East?
