How is FTI compare to Accenture?
Is HARMAN really recruiting for permanent remote roles? Would they ask us to come to office after sometime? I am a bachelor woman supporting my sickly parents and can't move them out of city. And my city don't have harman office. HR did mention permanent remote, still want to confirm as I've heard many cases people were called back across different product based companies. There's a balance to be found, in my opinion, and definitely depends on the shape of the role.
If a workforce 'need' HR onsite in front of them to stop issues arising - then thats a bigger issue in itself. HR shouldn't be there to police matters.
Personally, I've worked hybrid for 11 years in HR - the focus of being 'in the building' for me should always be with intent, meaning and purpose. Merely 'turning up' isnt productive.
It makes things harder. I think it can be done. I guess it depends on what your role looks like in reality. If you do a lot of paperwork and on boarding, that’s fine to do remotely.
I agree with you. I prefer to be in office as much as possible. All my files are there. I don't mind the occasional work home day, but I simply can't every day.
I have a really good rapport with my fellow hybrid staff, but I have constant miscommunications with our remote managers and find them defensive and cold. Could you go in one day a week?
I do believe I need to be in the office at least some time each week. This would be especially true if I were HR in a manufacturing environment, because walking around the plant just to engage with the employees is important.
My current job (and last -- retiring at the end of 2027 or sooner if my boss fires me, not that he's contemplating it) allows me to work from home one day a week.
