Hi guys
I am working in Tata Consultancy kolkata from past 3 years, planning to get transfer to TCS Bangalore(hometown). Will there be any issues if I provide fake medical certificate for my parents? Also now they are forcing me to come back to kolkata office, is there any possibly they may let me work from bangalore office even if my project ODC is not there in bangalore?

If you are starting as an Audit Associate some time from now with Deloitte or any of the big 4, do they expect you to have passed/completed all 4 parts by the time you start? Received the Becker Reimbursement email from the recruiter not too long ago but have yet to start. I’ve seen plenty of people get to Senior at a big 4 firm without the CPA so I am a bit confused in that aspect. Any helpful feedback will be very much appreciated.

Late to the party, but I work within financial services so I can only speak from that perspective.
The teams are historically quite small and have only recently experienced huge growth across the board. You’ll find a lot of teams are still quite tight knit from their “smaller” days and are actively trying to maintain that culture.
Majority of people tend to juggle work life balance pretty well and are actually nice to mingle with.
Better late than never! Thank you!!
I don’t work in a big office and I’m fully aware that moving from my office to Sydney might feel like going from a small pond to the Ocean. I just wanted to get sense of what I might potentially be getting myself into and this was helpful.
I’m not opposed to occasional long nights, but what I find problematic is when there is a culture where having 0 work life balance all year is the norm and becomes the standard. There are teams and offices like that. I like my present team, because this isn’t the case and I would hate to give this up for the other.
Similarly, I moved from a small boutique sized consultancy and was wondering what the “big pond” will feel like. For the most part, Risk is a smaller EY practice (if you exclude actuaries). You won’t feel like you’re jumping into something wild and massive. Floors are small and each form their own mini community of sorts.
Glad my 2 cents sorta helped!
