My job is fully remote, so I have very few opportunities for in person networking. As a fellow introvert whose battery runs dry just doing my job, the idea of spending hours each week "interfacing" and "schmoozing" sounds terrible lol. Most of my networking comes from engaging with people on LinkedIn and various discord servers.

👋hey fellow introvert! I’m an infp. Are you? How do you network? Do you ever hit up ppl you don’t know? If so, how? Thx!
Online is definitely an option now but in-person networking is still the best IMO. It's different when you get that human element.

Thanks for sharing!
Same here. I used to stress about showing up at mixers, but now I network mostly through niche Discord groups and by responding to LinkedIn posts. It feels more natural and low-pressure. You’re not missing out by staying online because it totally counts. It works great for me and I can connect with anyone anywhere which is a great advantage.

Do you reach out to ppl you don’t know? If so, could you pls share how you do that? Thanks!
I think it's good to do whatever networking is available to you, whether remote or in person. But, I think in person is definitely more effective. Meeting people at industry events is often a good way to establish a rapport with people. And I just find it hard to replicate that online. But, again, whatever is available is worth trying.

What in-person events do you attend?
