Given the current political climate, I'm thinking about launching an UnSustainability practice. Help clients expand their carbon footprint, increase their reliance on fossil fuels (especially coal), undertake new brown initiatives, etc. Likely a very quick payback in terms of currying favor with the current administration.
Feel like demand fell off a cliff
Very little demand and not enough to build your platform on or hire dedicated teams. Very much an “and” capability for the few partners that led the topic
Yes but there it doesn’t generate enough revenue. It’s more about optics
Need 100’s of millions if you are part of growth
For us, this is all we do, so yes, pretty much still a thing. The broader market is surely shrinking for now, but it is not ‘going away’.
It may be really different for others though. Here to learn that.
Yes in Europe less so in the states. But we have the team and capability built just not growing it as fast given demand isn’t growing as fast as it was.
What is selling there?
Limited in the States, some in Europe. But there is some spend around it. Clients will buy a diagnostic for instance.
There is quite a bit less demand, but the demand is there enough for a practice to exist. Often times it sits under different names now. I personally don’t see that there will be much practice growth over the next 2 to 3 years, but there will be enough to sustain an existing practice.
Still there but not as trendy these days. I think the compliance aspect will be embedded in the erp apps and data work will be necessary to capture attributes needed for reporting. It's turned into a compliance play.
For sure . It’s a changing market but a healthy one and one we continue to grow and invest in
