Don’t give them any ideas. But also, are there members of the public who generally like ai actors, movies, songs, ads, etc?
Thankfully the sentiment is pretty negative towards them all and rightfully so. You wouldn’t hire a celeb to rep your brand if everyone hated them, so you shouldn’t hire an “ai celeb”
Unless it’s part of an ongoing platform lol. I quite like this from Colenso about the extremes Skinny goes to make savings for their customers.

But on a serious note, I do agree.
That said, the entertainment industry is no stranger to virtual avatar entertainers - specifically music with fully AI ‘artists’ amassing a strong following.
If ads are to be ‘entertaining’ then I feel the next logical step will be mascots, then ‘human’ character versions e.g. mayhem, old spice, most interesting man and so on.
An interesting report surrounding the Coca-Cola Christmas advert showed that people didn’t know it was AI until prompted - ie just thinking it’s animated.
Should it go fully down this route, it would be more ethical to at least use an actor/talent for a one off fee or form of on going licensing fee to protect jobs. Whether or not brands (or boards) view the same, that I am not sure.
I do think we will get to a stage whereby people will sue due to image likeness - much like brands would do for their logo, colours, sounds, taglines and so forth.
That actress was a PR stunt for the company that made “it”. And a lot of people fell for it.
I hope not
Chief
We won’t. This is a PR exercise by what we can assume are the least talented PR people in the business. The goal was to normalize conversation with the public and it went nowhere. Everyone just called it weird. The only reason you even know the name of the actress is because websites wanted clicks.

Tbh I don't even remember the name of the actress.
