need opinion
I have received an offer letter from ZS as DAC.
lets suppose they offered X amount
and I was able to negotiate and increase the offer..
now I have mail confirmation from the HR of the new compensation structure that it has been set in backend. however he is saying offer letter cant be changed..so i had to sign the old offer letter while i have mail confirmation for new compensation.
Is this okay ? will there be problem later ?

Not really and tbh I doubt they'll let you in. Pharma seems to think only people who started in pharma can create the mediocre work we put out across the industry. At the SVP level, I doubt they are interested without 10-15 years experience in pharma
Strategic planning is always looking for non-pharma people. And frankly that’s where the clients heads are at. They’ve been through the rut of pharma strategy and want breakout thought leaders that guide the work to be less familiar. It’s the creatives that have only done Pharma their whole careers or the ones that have thrown in the towel that drag the work down. That and account people.

Not even. I’d say sometimes it’s worse, only that we work on never-ending boring projects that could be done in one route instead of 300.
In my experience, yes. I've also had chill accounts in other categories. What I've found in pharma is that higher regulation means long timelines so the constant churn is slowed by process.
That leads to its own frustrations if you value seeing your work in market constantly because it puts a massive delay before campaigns launch.
I think this depends really heavily on the company and account. Pharma launches have more stringent deadlines and worse work hours than any consumer work. I've pulled regular 65- to 70-hour weeks at several pharma agencies, so I'm kind of surprised to see people here saying it's better. Maybe if you avoid launches and stay in a big network?
I've also seen a couple agencies that prefer to only give strat jobs to those with medical degrees, FWIW.
Yeah if you’re on a maintenance brand, but if you are launching or god forbid pitching, the WL balance is crap. Also oncology specifically is very stringent.
God, no, it's way worse. There is little room for creativity, regulatory will be on your rear end every step of the way, and you cannot miss important deadlines. You will have to annotate master docs with tags and attach those tags to every claim/statement that you make.
And just when you think you're done and ready to go home, that patient brochure for violent diarrhea adverse events will need updating with the latest monograph because it's been exactly a year and regulatory needs it updated.

It’s a terribly process-driven category. Just be ready to sit in more meetings than you ever dreamed possible.

Nah. Not nearly close yet. While I agree the work itself may be if AI level, everyone is terrified of a) getting sued b) not passing constantly changing mlr and c) leaking some data that can be reversed engineered to jailbreak a patent and introduce a generic
It just depends, but overall probably a bit better. More chill on the hcp than the consumer side overall too I’d say.

Consumer may require a higher level of human creativity to do well, but clients don't care about doing anything well, so consumer is probably screwed first.
Maybe RFK Jr will do something good and get rid of consumer Pharma advertising.
You know what? You're right. Chronic disease is rampant, drug costs are spiralling, insurance companies are killing people, and third parties like Hims & Hers are able to falsely advertise any prescription drug they happen to sell...but the real problem is educated consumers. Let's get rid of those and hope the rest solves itself.
